I like records. Sure there might be some crackles if you don't keep things clean. But sonically, I really like the warmth of vinyl and the depth of bass and what I call"3-D imaging" the whole sonic palette that gets laid out which is hard to get out of most CD-based "stereos".
WHat do you mean "accidentally", and what part did you have in the record?
I liked the first track with the female singer she's got some character to her voice that sticks around and haunts me.
I really liked the production of the second track it's not as dry and the reverbs open it up nice song too!

The singer of Plumerai has a strange voice. Is she using much drugs ? Or she had a car accident ?

The second song is nicer, the music of the instrument is relaxing. The voice fits with it too.

What is record ? A CD is a record or not ?

Record = vinyl lp 33rpm a disc you put on a turntable and drop the needle.

(to laraan- oh so you are alive and not the French genius recently murdered in London. I read a news story and had a silly fantasy you'd met up with someone let's call him philip, who was on his way to Russia and decided to carve up an internet adversary over tea & muffins.
So glad it's not you, and forgive me my daydreams.)

^Years ago someone cracked a record over my head and microscopic shards of vinyl are still rotating through the grooves of my cerebellum.
Consequently, I am plagued by the occasional outbreak of scratches and pops in my hearing, my scalp is black (yet I am white), and I like to wear cardboard and plastic-wrap and clic-spin around , clic-spin around, clic-spin around, clic...

Thanks.
But you think that Philip would commit a murder ?
Just because I find his love ideas ridiculous ?

This is your band, no? Is there a way to buy that song? I really like it. Or could you just hook me up with some MP3age?

Hey. You've just got yourself a new fan.

I'm digging pretty much everything that's up on the iLike site. Question about "Avernal" though: is that one found on your Without Number album aswell? And is it longer? It seems that the MP3 fades out just as the really good part kicks in.

Damn ... I really am loving this stuff. Very sweeping and melodic. Loving the keyboards.

yeah we couldn't make the filesize work out for all of avernal so we had to shorten it to put it online. the version on without number is the same song but re-recorded and mixed differently but essentially the same as the ep version....(ie the end when it gets faster etc. . is almost half the song)

glad you liked it.

Did some exploring last night after I made that post and discovered you were on the Irish iTunes, so I bought Home Again and the Res Cogitans version of Avernal. I was listening to them on repeat all throughout my workout session earlier today. I'll be buying the rest once I sort myself out with another 3V voucher.

Yeah, something like that.

But more just pre-paid Visa cards. http://www.3v.ie

I use this instead of getting a regular credit card. I wouldn't trust myself with one of those things.

A limitation against wasting oil ? And wasting money ?
Yes, it exists. That will be your new president :)
You can't find another president like Bush in the USA, there is not enough oil.
