Does anyone find it peculiar, almost suspicious how the price of gasoline went down. I'm not complaining. I just find it hard to believe it can go from 4.85 to 1.65 (at least where I am) in so short a time. And it's weird that no one's making a big deal about it. I'm surprised that neither candidate is taking credit for it. It just seems really weird/suspicious to me.

It is a warning.
Oil is the soul of the dead animals (which a slow maturation process of course). And the God of the animals is angry.
Why do we burn the souls ?

A warning is a warning.
We know that it can climb very high.
The second warning will be more rude.
Next time, it will be 4.85 or 5.00 and for years and years.
The third warning, I think you don't want to know. It is a bit like the movies of star wars but more horrible.

Are you a scientologist?

No.
I just think that the 2 first star wars were the best, the 3rd one was cute with the small animals, but less science-fiction.
The 3 most recent ones (which are the "first" of the books) are not good.

So I wait for the 3 lasts of the books.
I hope they will find new good ideas, and if we need a small sacrifice on earth to create these ideas, I think that everything has price.

We could also try to sacrifice Venus with a few nuclear bombs. But there are much clouds there, and maybe aliens are hidden under the clouds.
We could try to sacrifice Mars. But where will astronomers land in the future if we sacrifice Mars ?
The best is to sacrifice a piece of earth. We are used to it.

i liked the most recent Star Wars a lot. I too was shocked filling up the car with gas the other day. I expressed my disbelief to the car person in front of me. Sometimes I think I'm keeping up with the news, but I really was stunned looking at the 1.77 price per gallon. Oil from the "soul" of dead animals?? More like the chemicals/elements/decay. Word is that research into bacteria driven byproduct fuel is happening.

For an atheist, yes.
But for those who believe in a monotheist religion ?
Jesus never saved the souls of animals. So they fall in the ground, with the body, and slowly fall deeper and deeper in layers of water (with the body that holds carbon). And the decomposition of these body creates oil. And the souls swim in the oil.
One dinosaur fell once in the Loch Ness. And regularly, now, we hear about a monster, in fact, that is just the soul of the dinosaur.

that summer had its charm
I'm just smiling at "experts" on TV and newspapers. Six months ago they were all stating things like

oil will never be cheap again

we're past era of cheap energy

etc.

Full of shit as always.

I remember some "top" expert say gasoline will NEVER fall below $2 a gallon.

never = the strong opposite to forever (if we accept the idea of week and strong negation, which Aristotle describes in the first analytics).

If never is false, then forever is false too.
The souls can live in paradise a very long time (between 10.000 and 30.000 years), but not forever.
Religion is a lie, like economy.
