So after the splattering of shows last year, I was wondering what the possibilities are of any band activity happening this year?
As a long time UK fan, I would have given my right arm to have seen them play last year; particularly to hear Gran Turismo in its entirety & I had hoped that playing together again might have whetted their appetite to work together further; however, the website has gone very quiet again.
Does anyone know any news or information? I hope that The Cardigans isn't over. I love them...still! |

I dont think so..... Moto Boy will be touring with IAMX ...so I can asure no more Cardigans.... sometimes I think is the end of the band :/ |

unfortunately I have to agree with Enrike, it seems the end for me, sometimes I think Peter is no longer a Cardigan, theres something that we don't know...hope I'm wrong |

I guess we'll have to wait. Moto Boy is not an official member of the Cardigans. He is replaceable. Peter was, so how can't he? |

I think as Beto... Peter dont seems to be a Cardigan´s member anymore... but me too I hope to be wrong , at least this will be another year without The Cardigans, so sad.
If they tour I hope they can do it with Mr. Svensson. |

As a long time fan, I'd caution my fellow Cardifans when it comes to making assumptions about what's going on with certain band members. Don't assume anything unless you hear it directly from someone in the band. I remember reading fans and even some industry articles about the Cardigans having broken up (when this never actually happened -- but it almost did) or that Magnus had left the band (which also never happened).
The band has given reason for Peter's absence as "family" related. They've never said he's not a member anymore and I think we should take them at their word unless they say otherwise.
Peter and Magnus are the founding members of the Cardigans and I know I'd like to see Peter back in action as much as anyone, but we should be careful not to cause any rumors. If Peter is done with them, then I'm sure they will say so.
Til then I hold out hope for more Cardigans (with all five of them involved)...
In the meantime, last I heard Peter is working at producing with some other artists. |
