I haven't been here in some time. It's nice to see this place is kinda alive still. It's good to see alot of regulars chiming in from time to time. I hope everyone is doing well.

Yes, we' re alive... But it seems to me The Cardigans forgot about their site and us...I missed their concert in Moscow last year and now I'm sure I'll never see them live.

Hey LordH, I'm doing well, though I go on stretches of introversion about 6 months at a time. Been playing these things in America called 'open-mics' (10 performers a night, each doing about 3 songs). probably have done 30 songs in the last few months - Willie Nelson, Beatles, Cheap Trick, Originals.... I MUST do a Cardigans song soon, the only one I know well is 'Communication' but I think I'd like to learn one from Gravity or Favorite Game.

Nice job! Sweet looking 12-string. Taylor? I've got a 1975 Alvarez, a G&L electric, and a SX modified fretless bass......but no bandmates :( That's ok, 20 years of jamming in various bands, it's alright for some solo time...though the itch remains.....

^Thanks...GT's songs for the most part might be hard to do as acoustic cover- sure you can play basic cowboy chords and strum along but it won't sound much like the originals. I wanted to do Paralyzed but it wasn't happening :( I saw a YT vid of live Cardigans (at Tivoli?) playing the re-vamped version of explode/implode done acoustic maybe you could try that song or perhaps Live & Learn might be good solo acoustic? Good Luck! Any chance you do YT videos, got a channel? It's not a bad practice for open mic to see how you look or perform:)

You talked me into it. Here I'm doing the Beatles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1EIe-j-hDc
I think I'd like to try 'Higher' off of GT. Haven't listened to SEG in a long time, so that album will be nice to re-visit. A girl drummer and I played about 5 years ago and had success with 'In The Round.'

^That's cool, open mic nite, they're fun to do.
Hey you can sing some upper register stuff, not all guys can.
I messed around with "Higher" and found a way to play it. I use a capo 3rd fret, but the beauty of it is if you can't sing it there move capo... maybe i should just do another vid :P
