btw, somedy have an old picture from the era of LGBD, it is on black and white, and the guys are on a stairs and Nina is with her hands making the word "blood" ... they all are sitting on a stairs outside of a home...
I remember it was on a part of a diary but not anymore and I cant found it ... :( |

^ Maybe it was just something cool Nina thought they could do, 10 minutes before they met with the photographer? You could add some sort of cool significance to it, like "blood brothers - always stick together" or something, but personally, I wouldn't read too much in to it.
It was something sorta-remotely-interesting Nina and Bengt could do with their fingers, pretty much - if they even put that much thought in to it. |

I didn't see Bengt doing that until now! Actually I guess I didn't pay much attention to it. Lasse is putting two fingers on his arm and there's a plate with food beside Magnus.
Anyone knows where was the picture taken and what is the artifact that is leaned on the stairway?
It seems like a summer day. Looks like it's been a fun one! |

It 's a Nerf machinegun, they were playing with it on the beach and because L.A. is just 15 minutes away on the PCH they were joking about gangs and drive-by shootings and gangsta signs you make with your hands...ever hear about the gang battles between the Crips and the ??????

I think I found it FeDe!
Do a google street view on 668 California 1 Santa Monica
if you can get an aerial view also and look down on the ocean side
of the house you'll see two similar rear yards.
One I have a link to below, underwent an extensive renovation in 2006. So this may be the house. If you compare the photos the roof is very similar and the palm trees on the hills in the background almost line up. If it isn't this house it most certainly is the one next door compare this roof & chimney of the next house and we might have a match. This house next has alot of bushes which obscure the backyard but from the aerial view you'll see this might be the one.
Keep in mind the Cardigans were there 10 years ago. The houses have been renovated since then, although I must admit I prefer the authentic old charm of the original design in the band photo :P
You'll see if you'd like to rent a house like this for a month it's $30-40,000 / month.

If you look at this last link you'll see from the photos #4 on the beach THIS IS the house the middle one not the one to the right that was written up in the magazine for the renovation.
Look at the balcony and the bump out in the molding under the 2nd floor. That matches exactly the Cardigans photo! So they painted this house a golden color... look at the photos outside, and you'll see the stairs the band posed on ...and this one IS for rent...how much each for us all to pitch in and rent for a month this summer & invite the band back, hmm?

Now that I'm looking at the pictures in the inside of the house I feel LGBD all over the places. The house has a warmth that invites you to play some acoustic songs. It also has a Spanish flavour all around their rooms. SEG would never be able to come out in that ambient. We all should go there and pay tribute to that house! |
