Anyway, what I don't understand is why all these pop songs sung by these kind of pop stars, are always written by at least 5 persons. I mean: They're not any masterpiece or a complicated piece of music that is needed to be written by a lot of lyricist or musicians! So why does this happen? The Cardigans only need one person for writing their music and 1 or 2 for the lyrics and they sound amazing!
Examples:
01. "Run the World (Girls)" is a song recorded by American recording artist Beyoncé Knowles. It was written by Terius "The-Dream" Nash, Knowles, Nick "Afrojack" van de Wall, Wesley "Diplo" Pentz, David "Switch" Taylor, and Adidja Palmer and Ken wa Maria.
02."Your Body" is a song by American recording artist Christina Aguilera, taken from her seventh studio album, Lotus (2012). It was written by Savan Kotecha, Max Martin, Shellback and Tiffany Amber, while its production was done by Martin and Shellback
03."Can't Be Tamed" is a song performed by American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus. The song was co-written by Cyrus, Antonina Armato, Tim James, Paul Neumann, and Marek Pompetzki and produced by Armato and James, though it was primarily written by Cyrus
04. "Boyfriend" is a song by Canadian recording artist Justin Bieber, taken from his third studio album Believe (2012)"Boyfriend" was written by Bieber, Michael Posner, Mason D. Levy and Mat Musto |

I know what you mean Fe.de.ar
A few years ago my wife bought me Katy Perry's album "Teenage Dream." I haven't listened to it for a while but for maybe the first six months I played that CD a lot. I really liked it. But as you say, I had the feeling like ten people wrote/arranged/produced it. It just had this certain feel. All the parts were so exactly perfect. |

Some of these people are talented but it takes more than one person to create a perfect pop song. Especially in the production phase to balance the orchestration and create music that sounds current and fresh for today's discriminating consumer.
Who is the artist? |

Hahahaha! Yes I just saw the Avril video what a mess
The song is lost behind all that excess
Too bad hope everyone got paid in advance...
It's bad enough you have to watch an ad before a video and the first te seconds is a built-in ad for a major corporation!
Rock is not going to be saved by Avril... |

The song sucks, too much autotuned, too annoying, the video is terrible and they tried to make it cool by making lots of references to her previous songs.
What I'd like to know is what is a producer's work on a song. Anyone knows?
Following the discussion above, my point is that Peter (for example) is an artist who can write or produce by himself any song, because he has the experience and talent to do that, so if you hire him, why would you need more people to "help" him in order to make the song any "better"? That's what I don't understand. |

She yells a lot in her songs lately. I think she sounded better in her 2 previous albums (when she pretended to be punk and rebel) |
