only available for another 5 days and may be only available in the UK. She talks mainly about the solo album but also says that on the recent tour the band are excited about a possible new Cardigans record, they had been talking about what it would sound like and it's "more likely than ever".

at the end of the link they play "the grand destruction game" from the new album.

If someone had told me upfront that this was on, I would have recorded it from my satellite feed. Oh well.

i didn't know about it until nina posted it after it had been on live on her twitter. let's be honest, promotion and keeping fans informed has always been pretty terrible from everyone except magnus in my opinion.

Goddamnit! That's an Irish radio station. How did I miss that?

The problem is... on Christmas day, my computer crashed, and I lost... everything. I'll try to find all my old software, and try to find a way to covert all this stuff to MP3 and make it available to everyone here.

If I don't post Mediafire links here in the next week, you should assume that I haven't found a way to convert these to MP3, and ya know... I've not found a way to share these with everyone.

Well... the entire Irish interview [Newstalk] can be downloaded from (right-click; save-target-as):
http://cdn.radiocms.net/001/au...file.mp3

It will take a bit longer to crack the BBC website, though.

I feel you. A few months ago one of my hard drives failed and I lost roughly half of my Cardies collection (music, videos, live etc.), possibly even more. I don't know precisely, I don't have a catalogue.

Sorry to hear, SmallTalker. Btw did you get tickets to Nina's show at the Button Factory (Mar 6th)?

^ Yeah, I'll be going. I got my tickets eventually. If anyone else in Ireland is looking to go, don't bother with Ticketmaster. Every time I tried to buy from there, I got an error message saying "This website is under routine maintenance." Either they sold out, or their website is just messed up. I ended up getting mine from Tickets.ie instead.

The worst thing about my harddrive crashing is that I've lost the 4 or 5 gigs I bootlegged myself. I have a couple of those gigs (Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions, and Nina Nastasia) on my MP3 player, but I completely lost my recording of A Camp in The Academy in Dublin from 2009. All the other music I had is easily replaceable, but I don't think I ever posted any of those recordings online. The A Camp gig might still be on my old laptop from 2 or 3 years ago... if only I could find the plug for the damn thing.

Anyway, here's an MP3 of the BBC interview, for anyone who can't listen on their website.

Is Animal Heart really out in Sweden now? You'd expect a leak to be out at this stage.

I usually don't care about downloading leaks or anything. I'm more than willing to wait until the record label release date. But situations like this - where you have one label in Sweden, and another for the EU, and another for the US - and they all set their own release date: I hate it. I hate the thought of people from a certain country being able to hear an album before everyone else does. It's just geography, and that isn't fair. It's not my fault I was born outside of Sweden.
