On April 1st I attended to the concert that Nina did in Uppsala (Sweden). I flew all the way from Madrid to there to see Nina for the very first time in my life.
In the afternoon I bought the Animal Heart LP in Stockholm to get it signed by her and I sat in the first row just a couple of meters away from her.
The moment she went out to stage was incredible. I couldn't believe my eyes at all! I started listening to the Cardigans back in 98 in my hometown in Argentina and since then I started buying every album and single and I've been literally dreaming of meeting them, wishing them to play in my country some time.
Since 2013 I'm living in Spain and I said to myself. There'll be a time when I get some money to travel wherever the Cardigans play in Europe and finally make my dream come true.
When I knew Nina was playing in Sweden I realized that that would be the chance to meet her.

I was like a teenager at the concert. I applauded her like I've never done it before. She was the singer of the albums I used to (and I still do) listened when I was at school, miles away from me but listening her songs over and over for years.
I've never experiened something like that. The Cardigans are one of my favorite bands and I was there, listening to her voice for the first time, almost face to face. Unbelievable.

In a moment, she looked at me and I just smiled at her and blew her a kiss, which she replied with a gentle smile back to me. I tell you, I was a complete teenager reacting like a fan to his music idol.

She sang some of her songs, some Cardigans' and some others that I didn't know but honestly, they were really good. She sounded marvelously. Her voive was incredible!

She sang:
Going to a town - Rufus Wainwright
Heart like a wheel - The Corrs
Upp, upp, upp
Old fashion morphine
Soon after christmas - Stina Nordenstam (This one was beautiful!
The Crowning
Song for the leftovers
The weed had got there first
Heavy metal
You're the storm
Lovefool
Lead me into the night
Lullaby (Nina and Nathan) -So hypnotic!

And a few more that I can't recall now. Some songs in swedish too.

At the end of the concert everybody was giving a standing ovation. The concert was so good!
A few minutes later, Nina appeared to sign some autographs while they were selling the AH LP, and I gave to her my copy and I talked to her a little bit. I said to her that her music was very inspiring and that I'm from Argentina. I also asked her if the Cardigans were going to play some time in the summer and she told me what everybody in this forum might know, that they're gonna play in May, but unfortunatelly I won't be able to go because I have to work since it's Thursday.

The following day I played GT on my iPod (the first album that I bought of the Cardigans in 98/99) and I couldn't believe that I had met the person who was singing in that album and shared some words with her and of course I got my picture taken from that epic moment. A night to remember for the rest of my life.

I don't have enough words to express what that moment meant to me.
If anybody knows the rest of the setlist, please share.
All the best!

I know this feeling man! I'm originally from Brazil and have been listening to these guys since around 95. I got lucky enough that they went to Brazil in 2006 and I could see them live. My feeling was exactly what you described there, crazy stuff!!

I live in Canada now, and would love to be able to go to another Cardigans concert! I hope one day they will do a comeback tour and travel around North America.

Cheers.
