The brilliant and sadly missed New Zealanders The Mutton Birds, and their last album proper 'Rain, Steam & Speed'.

Sounds like REM and Crowded House with a nice hint of Neil Young.

Can't argue with that really!

Another national holiday tomorrow. I'm going to hunt second hand CD at a flea market next morning. I like that place, though I'm not cheap:). I really did find some good rare CDs there

Now listening to "The best of Bananarama" CD
I got it in a flea market, with a low price. Rare stuff, had not found any in CD stores around my town
A successful hunting ...

The last track, my fav "Cheers Then"

I can spend HOURS digging through used CD's. I always find great rare stuff also. It's almost like you've won the lottery when you do.

A great choice of listening I must say. "Cheers Then" is indeed a cool track.

I adore Chris Cornell and miss Soundgarden deeply! He's definitely got a killer voice and nice on the eyes too!

Heresy
he sewed his eyes shut because he is afraid to see
he tries to tell me what I put inside of me
he's got the answers to ease my curiosity
he dreamed up a god and called it Christianity
your god is dead and no one cares
if there is a hell I will see you there
he flexed his muscles to keep his flock of sheep in line
he made a virus that would kill off all the swine
his perfect kingdom of killing, suffering and pain
demands devotion atrocities done in his name
your god is dead and no one cares
drowning in his own hypocrisy
and if there is a hell I will see you there
burning with your god in humility
will you die for this?

Moby's "18" b-sides collection. It's a free disc that came with a live DVD. Why some of these songs didn't appear on the "18" album, I have no idea. "Landing" is better than 16 of the 18 songs on the album (nothing tops In This World and Look Back In though).

2 Nine Inch Nails songs. "A Warm Place" and "Leaving Hope". Both instrumentals. I swear... you haven't lived until you've heard either of these.

"A Warm Place".
When listening to it, I can't help but think that someone did something unthinkably terrible just before this song started playing. Something unthinkable - like killing a god or something. And the person is just standing over the body of a dead god, thinking "what the hell did I just do?", and he has this song in his head. There are so many emotions that run through your head while listening to this song -> despair, fear of consequence, guilt, depression/sadness. Despite all of this, I wouldn't call it a depressing song. It is sad. But I kinda look at it like a silver lining in a cloud. It's the after though. It is, ultimately, acceptance of what you've done and what you need to do to make it right.

"Leaving Hope".
I look at this like "A Warm Place (part 2)". It's some time after the god has been killed. The balance has purely shifted to evil. There is death and destruction everywhere in the world. The man who murdered the god is underwater (he just lives there... don't ask me how he does it ). He's living in a lake in the middle of a snow-covered forest. Huge Ever-Green trees everywhere surrounding the lake. Some distance away, the sky is red with fire. Yet he is in a pure-white lake. He is swimming around with his guilt and desire for the way things used to be. "Leaving Hope" is the song in his head.

It's pretty deep.

And you have the choice of downloading any fucking song that you want. So when you're done with this forum kids, don't go rotting your brains with the latest Jessica Simpson song. Go download these 2. Then watch your NIN collection expand like fuck - it happened to me not so long ago.

You nay thank me later.
