Yeah, I was feeling the same for Nina (in particular) and the band too.
I was about 8 or 10 people from her and I didn't want to lost my cool place in the front row, but if I was nearer I would have told her to shut the f**k up before she could bother Nina so much.
I don't think she was drunk, she's just a person who don't know the meaning of RESPECT and FAN at all.
And I don't think that an idiot could waste a show (..though I didn't see ''merci Brussels'' in the tour greets so far! )

Hopefully one person didn't taint the band's view of that entire audience...
Yeah, I'm sometimes a little unsure of what to do in those situations because part of you is thinking, "Ok, I'm just going to ignore this idiot and try to enjoy the show." But then they make it impossible for you to not be distracted by them and you then have to figure out if this person is even mentally sane enough to be spoken to. (I've seen some otherwise fun shows turn ugly all because of one person. And the people around them not knowing how to deal with them.)
Really, sometimes all you can really do is try to get security to do something because if you get in a fight, then you stand a good shot at getting tossed and missing the show even though you were trying to deal with some wacko!

Frankly, I would be totally embarrased if I was singled out like that. At least the situation got taken care of. I wouldn't image this every happening in a Cardigans presentation.

Here's a sort of tour related question. I was at the London gig on Friday. It was, as expected, totally brilliant. Big thanks for a great, great show. There was some merchandise on sale there that is not available on the website and I'm now regretting not making a purchase on the night. Is there anywhere else I can get hold of the t-shirts?

Thanks.....

Yes, I agree with Chills, I noticed there was a billiard ball shaped logo, I think maybe a tour Tshirt at last night's Glasgow show? Unfortunately the cash machine downstairs was broken and the bouncers said if I went out to the cash machine down the road they wouldn't let me back in because of doors closing. Would love to get a choice from some of those ekstra T-shirts...

We were at La Bataclan in Paris, and you were great!! How do I put this, we saw you a couple of times in the 90s and well you didn't play with the confidence and fun you do now. What a great gig. The world's least pretentious band, playing great music and having a great time.

One other question is there anywhere in Europe I can buy Cardigans t-shirts? The Merchandise section of the website links to a US site, which seems a bit, well unecological for one thing.

Was this girl drunk or just strange?[/quote]

The question's worked out: she was mental.
According to Magnus in the q&a, at least!

Hi all, I'm back after a long time... I feel bad that I haven't posted!

Well, now I get to whine and cry and pray and beg for them to do some shows in Italy, my soon-to-be new home (!!!!) So, um, this fall would be a really good time for a few Italian tour dates...

:) (I just wanted an excuse to say that I was moving to Italy)

Whens the next time you will be in Ireland's general direction...?
I just recently got into your music and discovered that you'd played in the ambassedor (a quick busride from me) 2 months ago :(

I might fly somewhere to see you guys.... your music is just so damn good
as long as its not too far away so general direction is literal

The Toronto concert has been cancelled, I just got emailed abou this. What the fuck is that, what a hassle now I have to go and refund my ticket that I bought. Why would they announce a tour just to cancel it? Now I'm disapointed I put up an advertisement for this show on my cubicle at work and was getting excited about it every day looking at this ad, now this cancellation will make me think twice about whether or not to buy tickets the 'next time' a Cardigans concert is announced. I like you guys a lot but I'm not playing this game again

I just suppose if you guys try to imagine organizing a whole North American tour -- the logistics, let alone the costs, are astronomical to deal with. I did buy my tickets too with Ticketmaster, and it took a few days before the news was out until they sent me an email saying it was cancelled. I'm sure the Cardies concert will now maybe be in the same month or a month or two delayed?!

Magnus is this the case!?

Well... I'm sure some of you don't frequent this site much, but no one who bought tickets should be complaining.

The very top highlighted topic in the forum is:"U.S. Tour Not Confirmed" or if you had read any of the 5,000 posts by Magnus regarding this, then you would not have been surprised.

Ticketmaster, not the Cardigans, decided to announce tour dates for a tour that didn't exist yet. So don't be pissed at the Cardigans.

Short of the band calling each individual fan and telling them not to buy the tickets yet, I'm not sure what else they could have done.

So, please, let's not get pissed at the band, ok?

The blame is all on the promoters.

Chill guys, I'm sure the Cardigans will tour, it just won't be September -- a little later so that things are finalized I'm sure!

I haven't received an email from Ticketmaster informing me that the Toronto show is cancelled (and I bought tickets long ago). On the site a while ago, Magnus said that the show wasn't yet confirmed. I took the risk and bought tickets anyhow just in case. If it isn't happening, what was ticketmaster/promoters thinking? They shouldn't make tickets available for purchase before a show is even confirmed with the band themselves.

According to Mags all the financial concerns were dealt with and the tour was a go but family problems forced them to cancel the tour. On the bright side he did say they will be back in the near future.
