These american explosions were done in 1958.
Much before the russian nuclear horrible explosion.

Secondly, controlling the world means controlling the world in the etruscan way. That means controlling the earth + its amosphere.

This one was nice too. Nuclear explosion out of the earth atmosphere.
Hum.
What was its goal in fact ?
Why send something at an altitude of 400 km ? In order to avoid radiations on earth ? Interesting, and very stupid. Why do something when you can entirely guess the result ?

As americans need new idea, I propose :
- nuclear explosion on the moon
- nuclear explosion on mars

It makes me thing about the article of Lynn Townsend White.

I think we can't accuse the american army for this stupid experience.
It is a typical experience of scientists.
Science advances with experience, so let's try everything.

I hope they are testing sex with people who have AIDS without protection, and feeding lions with bare hands.

So, according to Lynn Townsend White, the modern science was an element which changed the world.
Hum. It changed too much.

Today, a black person was studying serioulsy in front of me in the library.
Maybe her goal will get to get money, or maybe to make the country better.
It is difficult to know, but it is why most students would call a serious attitude, and that gives energy to the other readers.

But she was in a library.
Maybe there are few libraries, so people try to bring their own qualities there, and that creates a nice atmosphere ?
But if we create more libraries, they will become common, and sooner or later, the atmosphere will become less pleasant ?

It seems that, against global warming, we really did something.
It is not stopped (the actual pause in warming is due to other causes, the 11-years cycles, and maybe changes in the exchanges oceans-atmosphere through the ElNiño-Laniña cycle).
But we are rather on the "optimist" path.

In 1995, the climatologists were trying to foresee the future. As the future is open, there was several paths.
The pessimist path was : if we do no effort to limit the global warming.... It was a really really nasty future for 2030 and even more 2050.
The optimist path was : we really do an effort.
There was a middle path too.

Today, we are certainly not on the pessimist-path-of-1995.
Probably between the optimist-path-of-1995 and the middle path.
Of course, it is not finished. On the optimist path, the effort must keep on during the next years.

Anyway, it seems the human race managed to really do some form of collective effort, and that is pleasant. Of course, some humans didn't understand the rules of a collective effort, but that is not a surprise. The goal was first to limit the global warming.

I remember the zoo in Wien, in the former bunker.

In Paris, two architects want to create a high monument (180 meters high).
And the population is not really pleased. Few people see the need of such a monument, for flats or working places.
But for a zoo, why not ?
It could not be exactly like the one of Wien, of course, because the bunker was a very strong structure, and can hold large area of water, so there are big aquatic animals in the Wiener bunker-zoo. Fortunately, there are many other kind of animals. And it is the job of architects to know what is possible and what is not.

Also, in the Wiener bunker-zoo, it is nice for the visitor. The visitor takes the elevator to the top level, and then keeps walking downward, and never gets tired.

Maybe the european leaders are not completely equal to 0 for economy.
Concerning pure economy, contrary to the liberal theories, using the theories of Hayek for more regulation is better and more effective.

But the liberal theories create years of strong developments. And these years bring something more, something that is not pure economy. This something can be summarized in one word "motivation".
Motivation for students to study, motivation for people to work together and to learn about their differences.
This additionnal motivation is reduced when the economy slows down, but the "win" of the past years don't disappear.
So, yes, on one hand, the total is positive.
For example, today, in France, most people study a lot more than 50 years ago, and having a more educated population is an advantage, an advantage for several things (and really not only for economy).

On the other hand, we played that once, already. During the Renaissance.
During the Renaissance, they did hide all the advantages/qualities of the past (the past in Europe, or further east or south), in order to promote their new model.
And today, it is exactly what we do again. We hide all the positive points of the past, before 1958.
And this point is rather negative. Because some teachers/media really tell false things.

So the result is more motivation, and less knowledge.
In economical terms, the result is maybe equal. Because people stored much money during the good years, so most will go through the bad ones (except some who failed to store money during the good years, and who suffers much today ; this is awful, but has no/little weight in a "global" economical model ; and also our modern States try to help these people).
If motivation improved the world, the world improved since 50 years.
If lack of knowledge made the world worse, the world got worst since 50 years.
And which is true, who really knows ?
No reason to be happy, at least now. Just the first sentence of this post was happy.

In Madrid, they demonstrate... for the catholic family.

But a few days ago, the catholic pope hoped for peace in and around Israel.
Why don't they demonstrate for that in Madrid ?
Because they are not catholics.
They want catholic families, in order to create a generation of catholic children who will demonstrate for the peace in and around Israel.
It is clever, but a bit slow. But clever.

I managed to be unpolite with a few people, the only few people that sometimes have contacts through internet with me.
So they will send me no sms for the New Year, and they will spare some money.

The US government should pay me for a show on TV, and I would be unpolite to the people who watch TV, and they will stop watching, and start reading and start getting a bit more clever. And then the USA will get richer, and the US government can pay me more.

Why are people exactly happy the 31th ?
Last year, they all wished to their friends "happy new year, happy year 2008". See where they are now.
And they want to do it again for 2009. Stupid people.

If you try to do something good, some people will believe in you (and some won't).
If you just want to believe, you will just watch someone, and pray and wait. Maybe this person will do something good (probably if you select the person carefully), but you will not do something good.
When people just want belief/faith, they just get faith and TV.

Nicely said.

I was just wondering why people at the end of a year suddenly become very optimistic. It's probably the festive atmospere. Unfortunately it fades too soon and one drowns in the usual greyness of reality.

Maybe you're right...But I guess it would be better if we try to keep a little peace of wonder in our hearts and still live with this belief...Yes, this world is cruel and grey...but how can we live if we can't believe in love, friendship, if we can't look at the sky and see the sun?...I can say this time is very hard for Russia, for example. But if I think about it every minute, it'll make me insane :( Sometimes I want to smile and keep my own universe in peace!!!

Yes, this world is cruel and grey

No.
Just leave your city, and walk a bit outside. Actually, it is night, so dark (with small stupid stars hanging in the last turning sphere according to Aristotle) and black. Not grey.
If you feel that stars are cruel, complain to Nina.

I know! And that's why me and my parents are leaving to the North the day after tomorrow. By the train! Very romantic. We're going to the village as usually from this stupid Moscow and there I'll be able to look at the stars for a 10 days! I understand - the world is not actually grey, it's grey and ugly only in Moscow. But I love our little countryside on Russian North, in Vologodskiy region, I know those places from childhood. And I know all those things you described - stars, wild strawberry in the forest, cold fast rivers, bears and so on! ;)) And what about Paris in these days? I heard about vandals in France...

Hum.
That sounds cool, I hope you will enjoy it.
Here, it is rather quiet. The vandals are spreaded over France, and there are few in Paris this year. And miraculously, since the economical situation is worst, parents care a bit more to educate their own children. I hope the economical situation will get a bit more worst, and everything will get quiet again.
We have the beautiful Eiffel tower (it is not really beautiful, but they changed the light for a blue one, so that is more pretty). And crowdy museums (not the good place during holidays, it is a bit sad, there is crowd in all attractions during holidays). And snow this morning, it is one day late, but that is probably the nicest today.

I have discovered the treasure of templars some years ago.
I think it is time to speak about it, because I saw a french movie about it.

So it was a rainy day of august. I was sitting near a tree, and something talked to me, and I started digging. And under the mud, there was a box "treasure of the templars 1282".
I opened it (after hours) and there was a recipe inside, and a map.
The recipe of dark chocolate with nuts. And a map to find the cacao.
I understand now. A famous drug, which is even healthy.
During 2 or 3 centuries, templars kept this treasure for themselves. And centuries later, it is available for everybody in supermarkets.
I know, it is a bit disappointing. We will never again have wars or fights for a bar of dark chocolate with nuts. We come too late.

Sarkozy goes to Egypt.
I know a good mathematic collection.
It was published in Egypt, from arabic-language material. With the help of a group of catholics (they probably failed to destroy some knowledge, or to hide the existing knowledge).
I think that Sarkozy should first show respect for the country that he is visiting.

There are 5 volumes in this collection. A small library in the "rue de Médicis" is selling these 5 volumes. They are a bit thick, but a normal reader selects some demonstrations, and read only about these ones (and about the related ones).
It is near the Senate, so old senators who try to learn a bit before their brain become lazy (or worst) could also visit it.

There is less gas in most countries of central Europe.
Nobody is happy about it, but we know that the world is a whole, and that sadness must create happyness, and happyness must create sadness.
So I decide to be happy about it, in order to make more sadness available, so leaders of the world can feel sad, and will try to do something to improve this situation.

And I have arguments.
First, we must try to live with less gas. All over the plant.
Secondly, poverty creates solidarity.
Third, central europe people are clever, and they will get more motivation to find a new source of energy (please, not forests and not wood).

I find another reason why I want to leave France.
I don't want to hear discussions about cooking.
Here, there is too much about cooking.
I don't want to learn about that. I go to restaurants, but in the restaurants, we pay for the cooking, so why learn about it ?
And foreigners come here, often as tourists, and they enjoy the fact that french people are good cooks. So they create a pressure, and french people reproduce the existing situation. This situation is itself not bad, but I don't like it for my life.

So France reports that less gas from Russia is arriving now.. to France.
But no gasoline goes from Russia to France.
Were the tourists previously bringing some gas in their luggage ?? And they could carry this gas on the planes, although it is forbidden because we fear terrorism ??

There is a similar question about Poland. The gasolines for Poland don't go through Ukraine, not for one kilometer.

So either the russians have stopped all their pipelines (it is probably easy to check..)., either it is the game "oh, the president of Europe is czech now, we will trick him, and he will force the rest of Europe to give more money to Russia".
And strange. France and Poland play a role in this trick.
In fact, no reason to be happy. But that replies to the post just above.
