Today while i was ironing i started to think about this.
I like covers and i think that it would be pretty awesome if some musicians cover some of Cardigans's songs!!!
What ya think?

hmmmm
i would start with;
03:45 No Sleep by FIONA APPLE
piona gonna fit successfully to this song, and fiona's angelic voice would be good.
and then;
Explode by TORI AMOS
Tori is a great musicians and her covers are always great.
i have to think for a while for the other songs... |

Nice question! Fiona Apple is the perfect girl to sing any Cardigans song. Feathers and Down or Don't Blame Your Daughter (Diamonds) would be good. |

Yeah, love Garbage too. I've always though "Hanging Around" sounds just like Garbage. Even the voice in most parts, but mostly just the style of the whole song. |

It would be interesting to hear what Björk would do with some of the darker Gran Turismo material - Paralyzed, Explode, Marvel Hill, etc.
I think the Smashing Pumpkins would make an excellent 2-minute punk version of Never Recover. And there's a very high possibility that Cat Power would make a very beautiful version of Slow.
The Mobylette's version of Hey! Get Out Of My Way is by far the best Cardigans cover out there. They turned it into a straight-up 60's bee-bop thing. It's unbelievably cute. |

^um. I don't know what Bjork would do to the "darker" GT stuff either, I'm afraid it would be too brittle. Marvel Hill okay I'd give her that. I's like to hear Tool, Mudvayne or even Rush, fer cryin' out LoUd!! do Paralyzed...I think a heavy metal treatment is what the doctor orders. Pounding Screams. Primal Rage. Fear Factory! I'm spouting off mood not names, really! he-hee...
Covers are a tricky thing to pull off: if the Rembrandts ( I'm thinking the Friends- pop-theme) did Good Morning Joan, a TV-network would have the sparkler to spin-off another twenty-something show. |
