Hello! My name is Amy and i'm currently residing in the rainy south east of england. Don't be fooled though - i'm not English at all. Infact i'm 50% South African and 50% Austrian. I've only lived in England for 6/7ish years. Before that i was born (and lived) in South Africa until i was 11.
I'm kind of obscure, but in a nice way. I like American history, cooking, foreign movies, country tinged music, penpals, languages, cutting out recipes from magazines, travel, books on Africa, old Dutch bicycles and beautiful looking instruments (although i can't even play one myself).

Hello everybody, my name is Thanos and I'm from Greece. I'm 20 years old, a male, and I just love the music (and maybe more than that the lyrics) of The Cardigans. The way Nina writes is very inspiring to me as I'm writing too, and that's how I fell in love with "Live and learn" at first, and then with all LGBD. And then with almost every song! :)

Blaine
Hi, I'm Blaine. I have been a fan of the Cardigans since 1996, with the release of First Band on the Moon. Lovefool is a great song, but my top was Heartbreaker. I loved Nina's voice and the style of music. After hearing that album, I had to search and find Emmerdale and Life. I love the sound of the album overall, totally relaxing and fun...Glad to be hear, and glad to meet ya.

Hey guys. From Babylon, LI, NY just saw a strange video of Peter and Nina in a bowling alley, which I think took place just down the road in Bayshore, NY on Youtube. It must've been a few years ago bc Nina's hair is short and blonde.

Anyway, I was surprised to see that the Cards "new" album was just released in the states; I've had it for about a year now. I must've ordered it online.

Also, I felt compelled to write bc I saw that Nina's birthday was Sept. 6. Mine was Sept. 5. So, there you go.

Wanna see the Cards in NY - they're 1 of my unsung bands I champion as much as possible.

And of course, Nina's hot - so that helps.

Hello!

I'm Becx and I've been a cardifan for ages but only just got round to signing up. Just ordered God Willing so am hoping to see Nina in action soon.

While I'm on, there's a band who I've seen a few times around where I live who are quite Cardiagnsy - cute female singer, good mix of poppy and darker songs and basically they're not half bad. Only problem is they're not the Cardigans! Anyway, if you fancy a listen go to www.curariuk.com. What's the worse that can happen!

Also, just wondered if anyone else saw The Cardigans in Manchester. If so, how good was "Hold Me"?

love B

Hello,

My name is Nick. I've been a fan of The Cardigans since "First Band On The Moon" came out, but haven't been active on any of The Cardigans websites until now. I've found that the band has had some real staying power from an artistic standpoint, and I really like where they've gone creatively over the years. Tragically I've never been able to see The Cardigans live, but I hope that can change in the near future.

I live in New York. I'm a musician too, and as my username denotes I am a bassist. I'm rather serious about it as I've been at it for some time now. My current band is called ShoeMania, and of course we have a website. If you're so inclined, stop by http://www.myspace.com/shoemania and say hello.

Cheers,

Nick

Valeria Korneeva
Hello. My name is Valeria, lastname is Korneeva. I live in Moscow, Russia. I heard about “The Cardigans” firstly in 1999, when I was 12. I saw their song “My favourite game” at MTV Russia and was impressed with their violence, as I thought then. But I`m full of contrasts and I opened my soul for their music. And now some words about myself, of course. I`m very obstinate, devoted to my ideas and usually try to make my concrete aims be true. It means I like when my plans come true ;) If something`s differ from my opinion, I can ussue facts and try to realize them all. Even though I`m Capricorn and was born on 13th of January, I can be tractable and mild. In common I`m kind girl and can help to those people who need it. My friends turn to me in any time! What are my hobbies? Oh, I`ve got many! There`re playing piano, guitar, keyboard; writing narratives, poems, songs, music; reading…But there`re mostly hobbies for home, when you can sit to your old chair, take a cup of juice in one hand and book to another hand ;) As for other my hobbies…I adore traveling, riding bicycle, swimming, tennis. At summer I like to pick up mushrooms, berries, flowers. Also I adore taking photos. It`s so cool to catch a such moment when…the rainbow`s crossing heavens, when butterfly`s flying away…Don’t think I`m ecstatic, I just love our planet.

I'm Johnny and I'm a big old 33 years of age. I've loved The Cardigans since "First Band On The Moon" and recently begun to recognise they're an intensely fabulous band. I think they're a classic rock band these days, in the vein of Led Zeppelin (my other favourite band).

But I also like Kraftwerk, Abba, Soft Cell, 80s one-hit-wonders, Future Sound of London and bluegrass music. So that's no use to anyone.

Fave song is "Been It" - used to dance around to it like a tit at Smile in Manchester. Still gets me going even now. Although "I Need Some Fine Wine..." hits a heartstring for me recently.

Hi,i'm trailrat from Ontario Canada.I heard the Cardigans first time in 2002 on a lilith fair CD.I'm not going to say it changed my life or anything, but Nina's voice stood out over all those great singers on that CD.I believe it's the personallity she portrays, and it's also the edgy lyrics on the Moon CD.Any way i scrapped all my classic rock CD's,and mad at the record industry for their boy bands, divas, idols & wannabes,I bought all the Cardigan CD's I could find.Riding, hiking or running the trails in south ontario became less painfull as I was preocupied wondering thing like, what do those lyrics mean,is the bass sound deeper than what I'm used to,is this the most unique band i ever heard & what an evolution of a rock band, and still changing.I seen the Cardigans in Toronto on the last tour at Lee's,it was amazing.Any way,I'll be sending my crazy ideas your way at times, and hope to see them in Canada again soon,I'll be there for sure, maybe get my CD covers signed. trailrat

My name is Cláudio, I'm brazilian...and I'm so sad because I drank a lot at the cardigans concert and now I can't really remember the concert. But I know it was good. They say I screamed JAG ÄLSKAR DIG to Nina Person and she said "people are trying to communicate in swedish with me, but I couldn't understand anything at all, baby".

this is my first day here, I don't know why my picture is not here yet and I hope to share and learn lots of things about the cardigans(and other bands) with you guys!

TimGunn
Albeit a bit late, this is being done out of pure insomnia. I'm Bryant, age nineteen, from California, in the States. Firstly, I should mention that I was mighty active at the old messageboards on the olleprojects fansite. Since that one vanished I was lacking in news updates and shuffled over here, registering a username and then never using it unfortunately. This one is fairly recent and inspired by the iconic Tim Gunn of an American fashion series, Project Runway.

I've been a Cardifan since the mid 90s, I think. My cousin from New York had obtained a copy of Life (and now that i think of it, that really must have been a rare find before first band premiered) and as a young boy, I was infatuated with Carnival for the catchy pop life it radiated. My first Cardigans experience came to an end once my cousin returned home :/ It wasn't until the American premiere of First Band on the Moon and the massive cult hit Lovefool, that I recognised that voice again and was hooked. First Band was the first album I bought on my own, actually. Later, I got ahold of Emmerdale and Life, followed by Gran Turismo, and Other Side of the Moon all in that other, as well as the latest two albums. So I've been devoted ever since.

Favourite song from each album; Emmerdale: In the Afternoon. | Life: Sunday Circus Song (and Closing Time is surreally lovely) | First Band: Choke. | Other Side: Carnival Puck version | Gran Turismo: Hanging Around | Long Gone: Lead me into the Night | Super Extra: In the Round.

Though it is very difficult to list favourites from any album since my mood changes and another song stands out particularly to me, haha.

Me, personally, I spend a considerable amount of time writing editorial opinions online. Messageboards! This is one of the only two active boards I visit. All that's left to say is well wishes to The Cardigans and fellow fans. Cheers, folks!

Hello, hello, hello
I'm William 26 and from Ireland. I've been listening to the Cardigans since lets see since I was errr emmm young enough. I just love the music and them being Swedish and all that. I served with Swedish troops in Liberia West Africa with the United Nations last year, they said that they were from the little town that Nina came from, I was amazed and must have drove them crazy talking about the Cardigans.
I hope they never ever split up. I didn't get the chance to go to the gig in Ireland this year as I was away and the Swedish gigs were all sold out. I can't wait until the tour dates for 07 are announced.
Slan Liam.
