The Washington area has the wealthiest households and most educated work force of any metropolitan area in the United States
The report also found the Washington area, which has seen a major increase in defense-related technology employment in recent years, to have the largest science and engineering work force of any U.S. metropolitan area

Washington is the city of the government...
I don't like the comparison with Rome, but Americans should remember history.
Cities were places of freedom in Europe in the Middle Age.
Rome and roman Empire and roman army was an Empire.
Now choose.

Ah! That's why you started a topic about it!

Ok, I made my choice: Laurent = 100% insanity

They are going to crush Cuba soon. This is one good news.
Then the island will be empty again. And I can go there for holidays. No one, just empty beach, with white sand. And hurricanes. I love hurricanes.

Hey guys, I have an idea. Why don't all America haters post into this thread instead of opening millions of threads saying "USA sux", "Bush is evil", etc. I think it would be really handy if all rants over US were canalized here. You know I've seen a lot of hatred towards them on this forum, so you better express it here instead of spamming all over the offtopic section.

Thank you.

Lol, I didn't mean you hate USA, my initiative was meant for the others (they know who they are). I don't care if they open another thread with more meaningful title (like you did for Europe) as long as they keep posting their anger in one place.

OK. I see.

We can change the subject of this thread. There was no comment during 3 weeks.
Unfortunately I can't edit the title.

Let's say : what in the USA turns you angry ?

Thank you.

Where is this "USA Sux!" topic that you speak of? I've searched all the way back to the last page, and still haven't found it.

And you're welcome, by the way.

Oh come on, don't play the fool! There's a lot of shitting over US on this forum, why wouldn't people like you do it on one place, on some kind of toilet? It would be ideal for flamewars and it would help keeping the rest of the forum clean for people who don't want to listen a rattle all over and over again.

You started with some parallels between USA and Roman enpire. Of caurse times are different but there is a present version of Rome in the USA. It's called New York City. Can't you see it? It isn't a political capital but it's the capital of everything else. And there's even present version of Babilon in the US It's Hollywood. I'm loughing writing these words but they're not mine. The man who spoke them was a University teachera and I can agree with him in the end.

Oh please, show me one topic made in the past 6 months where I've out-right had a discussion regarding the current state of US politics. I haven't - simple as that.

I don't even get where you're coming from. You live in Slovenia or somewhere? So who are you to say what Americans can or cannot deal with? When an anti-US Government topic is made, some Americans here are well able to defend the policies of their government. They don't need any Slovenian to babysit them.

Here's a nice little suggestion for you. Next time you come across a topic such as "Bush's newest cock-up" or "US Bombs Iran", just continue on your nice little way to the "Which is the cutest Bunny?" topic.

This is all sooooo 2004. Get with the times.

Who are you then?

Did I babysit them? Did I defend them? Did I?

we don't all talk like that so be greatful lol that only the people who have little no vocabulary do. (also, all of the stupid tv shows like "the oc" and others of the same crappy caliber do not necessarily depict us or our society ... they make us look worse or represent a small percetage of idiots who sadly really are like that). and really, if we were to talk about what we dislike about our country we would never end. where to start?! way too many issues you wouldn't care to here about or know. and not only that, we have a conglomeration of races here - almost everyone represented. so its not like i can sit here and try to name them all or some like some of you did on the European thread .

ah and Laaran, Washington has its share of poverty as well. sadly you only see and hear about the wealthy people as opposed to the rest of the folks in that area. Washington DC, Los Angeles, and parts of New York are the top cities in the US that have the most population of homeless people (last i checked). and yet they also have rich people - which are the only ones many hear about ....

Yeah, I know not everyone in America speaks like that, but some do.

But are there really some Americans who like to say "who's your daddy?" while *cough* doing it? That's probably the sickest thing I've ever heard. Why would anyone want to think about their daddy while doing it?
