There´s one song by the great german band "Mia." which is called "Tanz der Moleküle" (Dance of the Molecules). Very nice.
Bugsy, you should check that one out.

It's winter down here people! Can I choose my winter song? lol I think it's gonna be Her New Disaster by The Heart Strings (http://www.theheartstrings.com/listen.html), or Long Distance Call by Phoenix.
My summer song was Goldfrapp's Ooh La La. =P

I think it's going to be 'hips don't lie' by Shakira, at least here...

Last summer it was all of Cold Roses by Ryan Adams and The Cardinals plus all of The Forgotten Arm by Aimee Mann. And maybe some of X&Y 'cause my brother played it a lot.

This summer... I dunno. There hasn't really been a summery record this year and I'm listening to all the same old stuff I use to.

In 2003 it was definitely LGBD... if there ever is a quintessential summer album LGBD is it.

Man, I love that album... I love Ryan Adams anyway, but that one just slowly sunk it's claws in and still won't let go!

Last year it was probably ...Fine Wine..., as it blasted out of the stereo while we drove through the rolling countryside of Sköne.

Anyway, this summer it's gotta be the whole of the new Phoenix album - absolute sun-kissed pop!

Summer song for me?

La Vie En Rose by Grace Jones, first.

And a song from the band that, if Brit Awards were not corrupted and boring, was already considered as the best pop english band (for the best album)... Girls Aloud :)

Ah, right, you wanna know what song: Long Hot Summer!

It was made about 16 years ago, but Mazzy Star's Halah is popping into my head all the time. I'm sure that's gonna wind up being my little summer song this year.

Come to think of it, it's about time I made myself a little compilation ... something to listen to while chillin' out in the sun somewhere.

And it was released in 1978, but Patti Smith's Easter is the best album to lounge around to.

thanks for the song. it was quite boring, though.. but it´s always more fun to listen something other than english or finnish...

The best bands, which sing in german are Tocotronic, Klee, Blumfeld and Einstürzende Neubauten.

i don't think i'm going to stop listening to S.O.S. by Rihanna until this autumn, or until it drives my roommates crazy and they throw my computer speakers in the bathtub.

there's a track the new album by The Stills called "Mountain" and i loooove it. so summery.

every summer i also dust off "Let Me Go Home" by Camera Obscura and that enjoys a few months of repeated listening.

oh and anything by Acid House Kings. like, anything at all.

maybe it's a bit literal of me, but i think that 'Summertime' by The Sundays is the perfect song to blast from a convertible car while driving along the side of your town's lake looking for the perfect picnic spot.

Hey!
Just for the records: Careless Whispers was by George Michael only, not Wham :)

Andrew Ridgeley had something else to do the day George recorded that song. Probably he went to the hairdresser and then washing his powerful sport car.
No, no... if you check somewhere on line, you'll find out interesting stories about this Michael-Wham song!
