Um... this is hard... I haven't bought that many records this year.

The Raconteurs - Broken Boy Soldiers
The Knife - Silent Shout
Keane - Under the Iron Sea
Thom fucking Yorke! - The Eraser (Bloody brilliant!)
We Are Scientists - With Love and Squalor
Oh and my guilty pleasure... the soundtrack to Madonna's "I'm going to tell you a secret". Utter indulgence.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Show Your Bones is quite alright. "Gold Lion" is quite possibly my single of the year.
I only like a couple of songs on The Strokes - First Impressions of Earth, but it's like that with all their albums for me so... nothing new there.

That's about it I guess. Oh and...may I just say that I though the Richard Ashcroft album was quite the disappointment... urgh.

Cat Power : The Greatest. Not a whole lot compared to You Are Free, but it's still home to at least 9 of the best songs I've heard all year.

I've already gone blank.

Oh, Nina Nastasia is releasing a new LP this October. I'm really looking forward to that.

And I can't help but notice some of the albums listed so far were actually released quite early in 2005.
