This is just to let people in Ireland and the UK know that E4 will be covering the whole of V2006 today [from 3pm-12am]. I haven't got a clue what time the Cardigans are performing there today, all I know is that Dave Berry (*sigh* - why doesn't the bloke just go back to Nickelodeon where he belongs) listed the Cardigans at the end segment of last nights show - so they'll obviously be covering them today.

It's sheer luck that I even found out about this. The pub where I was at last night only turned the wide-screen TV off mute 10 minutes before yer man mentioned the Cardigans name - and it's been so long since I checked the tourdates section that I hadn't got a clue they were doing V this year.

I'd say they'll be performing around 4-5-ish ...

Oh well ... I hope anyone that's interested in seeing the performance manages to spot this topic on time. Nothing worse than only finding out about your favourite bands only performance on British TV 2 hours after it airs.

Channel 4 only showed one Cardies tune, Erase & Rewind.

The actually coverage by 4 was crap. All through Editors set there was sound interference, the picture kept cutting up.

They showed them straight after Bloc Party.

Yeah, Nina looked hot, but then again she always does *sigh*

Mags looked a cool bass playing dude.

Magnus always seems to have a straight face, never smiling or anything. That is just soooo cool.

Argh, how did I miss it? I must have been out of the room. I had to endure several starsailor songs in an effort to see them as well!

I managed to skillfully avoid Starsailor. They aren't my most favourite of bands.

I only just saw the Cardies though. I went making a brew and when i came back the performance was almost over. So i changed over to E4+1 and saw it later on, knowing when it would be on.

It was really nothing to get excited about after all. It was a "blink and you'll miss it" type of thing. The Cardigans were on for such a short amount of time, but it seemed whenever I flicked to that channel later on in the day - E4 was playing the same Hard-Fi or Sugababes song over and over again. Hard To Beat and Round Round on constant rotation - or they had Dave Berry doing an interview with members of Hard-Fi and the Sugababes.

And you were right about the sound-quality bassman, Magnus may as well have not been there - you could bearly hear his bass at all.

I was at the gig in Chelmsford - easily the best thing I saw at V, Nina was faultlessly in tune throughout, the band note perfect and tight.

The sunglasses were actually Lars' but after one song of squinting in the sun by Nina she pinched them off him! Later when the clouds came over she briefly took them off again.

I just have to say that never before has one woman made so many men swoon in disbelief - she looked STUNNING!! How the band can concentrate is a miracle! ;O)

Good setlist that surprisingly started off with Communication (i had tears in my eyes it was that good!) and was very similar to when I saw them at Shepherds Bush Empire in March.

Unsurprisingly the crowd only responded really well to the Gran Turismo tracks but I didn't hear anyone talking or complaining about not knowing the songs. Just wished Nina had told the crowd to buy Super Extra Gravity and Long Gone Before Daylight - the UK public is unaware of their existance :(

Roll on the next album!
