Hola Miguel, olvide contestarte! I think you should check the next song: "Dyer Maker". Its a cover from a Led Zeppelin song maked by Sheryl Crow. I know their have total diferent styles, but i find similitudes in some songs and albums. Example, from LGBD i think Live and Learn has a lot of USA styles, in the production and in the song as well. Check this voice and compare with Dyer Maker and tell me. hehe ;) First time i heard this song i get confuse because i tought was nina but few seconds later i realized was Sheryl. This broke voicesssss. Cuidate Miguel! Un saludo.

I don't think they're very similar. They do have a similarity in the structure of the band (The cranberries, Garbage, No Doubt, Sixpence). You know, the guys playing instruments, and the girls singing. And they all rock. In Music, maybe, the cranberries and sixpence are a little more similar to the cardigans, but not that much. No Doubt is nowhere near the Cardigans in terms of music styles.

in 2002 - i was a big fan of No Doubt, The Cranberries and The Cardigans both.
but,
in 2006 - i am only a big fan of The Cardigans.

Owww it hurts me, i trusted them all as great musicians but Gwen disappointed me with her 'if i was a rich girl lalalalalalalalala!!!'. And i think that The Cranberries is always the same. Their 'Wake up and Smell the (old) Coffee' is absolutely a mess, sorry.

Hmm... I honestly didn't think it was Nina, but it didn't sound so Sheryl to me either

I think Gwen did a good job on LAMB, she could have done better tho. Glad she didn't sound like No Doubt, 'cause where's the point on going solo if you're gonna sound like your band!?

I've heard people say that they thought the Six Pence None The Richer's song "Kiss Me" was the Cardigans. How annoying! If it's a girl singer in a band, they confuse them all up which isn't fair since they're all totally different.

i know i'm late responding to this month old news, but i'm a huge fan of both the cardigans and the cranberries. i think the cranberries rock just as much as the cardigans. i've always looked forward to their newest releases and tours. but both could easily be confused with one other only because of their style of music and singing.

Erhm...
James, I'm not saying you are stupid but.. are you sure Cardigans and Cranberries have "the same style of music and singing"?
I don't think so.

Shhhhh, don't say it to Magnus...!

I don't think their styles are very similar either (Cranberries/Cardigans) and I am a fan of both too, so I know some stuff. I never knew why they were confused, the name must be one thing. In fact, when the Cardigans came to Greece in 2004 (or was it 2003? I am not sure, I wasn't a fan of them back then and I missed the opportunity... :( ) there was a magazine who had written that the Cranberries were coming for a concert and it was also heard on the radio... It had gotten me all excited back then but we soon found out it was a confusion.

Wow... "the magic" of human ears-brains...

Tomorrow, maybe, the newspaper will say "Blur speaking to the nation", and every single Damon&friends fan will run crazy for the reunion..

But then... woops, it was a mistake..
It was "Blair speaking to the nation"...

:D
