Hey,
This is basically promotion for another artist that I'm personally quite fond of.
I know Weird Al is not as well known internationally as he is in the U.S. (probably because his parodies are usually about America pop-culture), but for what it's worth...
His new album "STRAIGHT OUTTA LYNWOOD" is apparently selling like crazy and will be in heavy rotation on VH1. The single is debuting in the Billboard Top 30 and the album debuts at #10 (his first Top 10 album ever, which is amazing for a guy that's had platium selling albums).
Plus Al's going to perform live on the Tonight Show! :-)
Man, why can't the Cardigans get this kind of promotion/attention? :-(
Anyway, check it out:
To date, "Straight Outta Lynwood" has been released in the U.S., Canada and Australia. It will also be released on Oct. 6 in New Zealand, Oct. 30 in Norway and Finland, Oct. 30 in Italy (digital release only), Nov. 1 in Sweden, and on Nov. 24 in Germany and Austria. We've been told that the record company in the UK has declined to release the album - sorry. (There's always import stores!)
