Part I : points of the line

From North to South

- somewhere in Norway ?
- Göteborg (city West Sweden)
- Gotland (island East Sweden)
- Krakow (Poland)
- Istanbul
- Jerusalem
- Mecqua
- Djibuti ?

Part II : evil argument

Istanbul, Jerusalem, Mecqua, this is sure.
This is exactly a line.
I thought about that yesterday, during the news. Thanks to the Lord of The-Most-Stupid-Religion, who made a trip to Istanbul.

Better.
Distance Istanbul-Jerusalem is the distance Jerusalem-Mecqua.
Difference : some percents. We expect this accuracy from a measure which is 1500 or 2000 years old. With modern tools, we could do better... Shall we correct this small error, and move one of the cities ?

Part III : farther away

To the North first.
I will note the distance from Istanbul.
Unit = distance Jerusalem-Istanbul.

distance = 1 -------- Krakow
distance = 1,5 ? ---- Gotland
I don't know the origin of this name.
My personal view is that this name does not fit the old norse mythology (because there were several Gods, and it should be Gotsland)
distance = 1,7 ? ---- Göteborg
distance = 2 -------- somewhere in Norway. Point A.
No city there.

If you continue the line from Mecqua to the South , you arrive close to Djibuti.
I don't know what to think about this one.

Part IV : mystic line and graves

Concerning Gotland, Göteborg and Norway.
I read some weeks ago about the runic characters.
These characters appeared around 300 (years after the man playing with crosses in front of soldiers). Mainly on tools and weapons.
Around 500-600, something new arrived for these characters. They were used more and more for graves. Graves for everybody, and not only for the richest people.

So I would say.
In Norway, this mystic line didn't bring much. Some people arrived, along this line, from the South. They introduced the democratic graves (grave for everyone).
How to write on graves ? They used the local habits, with runic characters.

Part V : negative argument

Graves in Norway appear around 500-600.
Krakow created around 700.

Something does not fit here.
Some people say that Mecqua was a religious place before Mahomet and islam. So before 500.
Then Mecqua is too old :(

Part V : posititive arguments

Watch the line.
Watch a planisphere, or use googleEarth, and watch along this line.
(you can mesure distance between two cities with google earth)
This line is obvious.

I'd like to find an explanation for the direction of the line. I need to watch a planetarium, and draw the night sky 2500-1500 years ago,

Concerning the "mystic" analysis, hum, people were like us 1500 or 2500 years ago. If you think that capitalism is based on reason and knowledge, you are wrong. Yet we live with it, and it is important that everybody gets motivation from it. Same for the religions. Even the religion of liars called christianism. It is connected to motivation and harmony between people (we are stronger if we move in the same direction together...).
1500 or 2000 years ago, people had much respect for astronomy and for geography.

Göteborg
The area around Göteborg is called Västra Götalands.
The area to the East is called Östergötlands.
And further to the East, this is the isle of Gotland....
So, yes, this is the same origin for Göteborg and Gotland. Probably.
Although the city itself was created very late, around 1650.

So, same origin, yes.
It is not that good for the "mystic" line. This line is nearly North-South at Jerusalem, and Göteborg is West of the isle of Gotland...

Runes
Why are the graves that special ?
This is the difference between the Norwegian-Swedish graves, and the ones of Danmark.
In Norway and Sweden, after 450, a new sort of graves appear, with different shapes (vertical stone above the grave). These graves are not found in Danmark.

Direction of the line
I am too lazy to watch stars :(
The direction from Mecqua is strange...
From Mecqua, Jerusalem is to the North-North-West. The direction is nearly 23° to the left of the North pole.
23° is an important number in astronomy (23.5° is the angle between ecliptic and equator). This number is known since a long time ago, we find it in old greek texts.

Direction again
The direction is easy to draw.
The sun rises at the same time on june 21 in Istanbul, Jerusalem and Mecqua.
Not exactly june 21, the exact date is june 15.

Is the alignment that special ?
Mecque/Mecqua/Mecca
Red sea has nearly this direction, so we would have this result for any city on the east shore of Red Sea.
Mecqua position is not that special...

Istanbul
Position of Istanbul is obvious is we consider geography. There are only two places where Turkey touches Europe. Istanbul, and another place 170 kilometers West. The Eastern position (Istanbul) is better, because it is farther from Greek people (2500 years ago, some Greek people were, hum, violent, I think this is the word).
Istanbul position is not that special...

Jerusalem
I know, Moise suddenly died and Jews had to stop there, because they just lost their leader.
Yet I don't understand why Jerusalem is not closer to water. There is the sea a bit farther westward, and a lake a bit farther eastward. Why stay in the middle ?

The distance
Istanbul is fixed by geography.

Jerusalem, I don't understand, so I will not try to understand.

Mecqua is nearly the middle of the East shore of the Red Sea (middle between the north and the south points of the shore).
I suppose this is the best explanation. I am sorry for this explanation, because God is not included in this explanation.
Or maybe God is included ? Let's imagine history.
Arabs put Mecqua there because it is the middle of the coast. A long time ago, before the muslim religion.
Years and years later, they notice the relation Istanbul-Jerusalem-Mecca. Then they say "oh, this is the will of God, the middle of the coast had to be such a special point".

More news.

I tried to get more accuracy.
The line is 20° west from the meridian (south-north pole line).
Not 23.5°.

20° is bad for sun observations, but may fit Venus observations.

Venus is :
- easy to observe (the easiest planet)
- quoted in Bible (I am not sure, is that true ?)
- its movement around Earth is not exactly in a plane. Its close to the ecliptic (the plane of the sun movement, just remember this plane has an angle 23.5° with equator). Venus can be a bit higher or lower than ecliptic. So we can have a 20° line with Venus :)

What do I search ? When Venus rises, in Istanbul, Jerusalem and Mecqua.
I am lazy, so I just use Istanbul and Mecqua.

Which year ? Around 570... Mahomet official birth.
Which day ? When the visibility of Venus is maximal (the visibility of sun is maximal on june 21). This day depends on the year.

These are some results. They look nice. The year 570 emerges...

Shall I trust that ? I don't know. I used a tool to calculate that, the first tool I did find with yahoo. I know nothing about the quality of this tool.
