The new single Fine wine is a blast to play! For what it´s worth is also real fun for a bassman. Communication on the other hand is real boring. But it´s a fine song.

Firstly, congrats Cardigans on your new album, it keeps getting better with every listen. Although my question isn't that unique (it could be fun) it has to be asked. When are you going to come back and tour Australia? Did you know it's almost ten years since you were here last? Is it a band member flying phobia that prevents a tour, or a belief that Australia is so far away that we must have slipped off the face of the Earth by now and don't exist anymore? |

Ooh, we would die to come back to Australia! It´s just that Jesus put it in such a remote place! :-) Pur dear friend Dennis just came back from a tour with The Hives and we were all very very envious. So, yes we really really hope to re-visit one day.

Hi Cardigans!
Really like your new album! I can´t wait for the tour! Are there plans to release a live CD or a live DVD? I know there is this 1997 Live DVD thing or stuff, but my favourite albums are Gran Turismo, Long Gone Before Daylight and Super Extra Gravity, and it would be cool to listen to you live at home.
And, one question to Nina. You said in an Interview in 2001 that you would like to work with Mary Timony after another Cardigans album (which was Long Gone Before Daylight). Now 4 years are over and I´m still waiting for a second A Camp album. Have you plans to record a second solo album?

I really want to make another record outside the Cardigans, and maybe then I'll hook up with Mary. It's just that the previous one was made over a span of five years, so it would be a shame to rush the next one... But I'm glad to know that it's anticipated!

Din tolkning är samma som min. You're the storm handlar om kärlek, men jag tyckte det var kul att använda krigs-termer. Vilket blev lite härva eftersom Irakinvasionen var helt ny när den släpptes, så skivbolag i länder som var med USA i invasionen ville ett tag dra in singeln. Talande, eller hur!

I chew nicotine gums like crazy in the studio, Peter quit doing the snus..very impressive I must say due to his former massive mis-use.
Bengt hasn´t the need for space like I do, so I went with the Audi. I am 24 cm taller than him so I needed a huge car. I got my dream car in the V70, great car!

That´s quite possible, I start playing a C and therefor, Peter might use a capo on the first fret? Check that and it might help you out.

I never listen to commercial radio ever, so I miss out on
everything on the charts, rap and all.
That probably makes me an old fart but I can live with that.
I like to decide for myself and after 13 years together, we can´t demand
to be the flavour of the month.. it´s just not possible.
Still, the stuff we like is most of the time left-field of what we play ourselves.
Check my links site for swedish and foreign fave bands and artists, you might
find something you like there.
And by the way, I am a rasta at heart so I don´t deal with rap and hop hop...

Jag vet inte om ni alls kommer gilla det här, eller om det överhuvudtaget är sådana här frågor ni vill svara på... jaja...
Jag har en vän, Anna, hon betyder jättemycket för mig, och utan henne skulle jag inte må så bra som jag gör. Nu vill jag ge henne någonting tillbaka, som tack för att hon finns. Hon och jag älskar er musik lika mycket, och vi brukar ta en kväll i veckan och ha en liten Cardigans-kväll... Bara lyssna på Cardigans-musik och dricka te, och ha det underbart. Anna hade inte råd att köpa er nya skiva, och kommer inte ha det på ett bra tag framöver heller, så jag tänkte ge den till henne. Men att bara ge en skiva är lite fantasilöst, så jag tänkte ge en signerad till henne. Tyvärr lyckades jag inte komma på signeringen varken i fredags eller lördags (jag bor i Norrköping), och ingen av mina kompisar i sthlm eller gbg hade tid, så... Jag undrar om det finns någon möjlighet att få en skiva signerad av er, om jag skickar ner en till er, eller nått i den stilen? Vild chansning, men det skulle vara guld värt...

hello cardigans, i'm from chile and last weekend was held here a tribute party to celebrate the debut of your new album.... wooow, i even made a super extra gravity t shirt by myself......( perhaps you'll all think i'm mad about this...but well.... anyway. i'm just a fan of your music...)
At the party many cardigans videos were shown and everyone was screaming and dancing about the new single... just amazing... indeed all people went mad about every single song. and... i guess the question is quite obvious. Do you have any plans to tour latinamerica?

loving this "ask the band" section. very generous.
anywho, onto my [many]questions and such.
- "give me your eyes" is an awesome track. why did it not make the album officially?
- who's the red-headed lady listening to the headphones on the "super extra gravity" sleeve pic with magnus?? looks an awful lot like shirley manson.
- this is more of a suggestion but if/when you release a new dvd compilation, would you put the dvd stuff from the new record on it? see, i bought the regular version but im hearing great stuff about the documentary and i cant exchange my version for the deluxe version 'cause since you visited dublin, four signatures have magically appeared on the front sleeve[bengt, you've got a lot of signing to do next time we meet!!]. alas, the album is now worth more than all the gold in the world and will never be parted with.
- magnus, in a reply to an earlier question you mentioned that you studied to be in childcare. what a big softie!! i would have figured you for an army liutenant or professonal hitman. do you think you'd ever return to childcare? you'd make an awesome teacher.

We did have high hopes for this one but it never got where we wanted. So we skipped it.
I think, not sure, that the person sitting beneath me is a young guy with long hair.
That shot is a trick so I wasn´t there when they made the lower part of the photo.
I am sure it´s not shirley Manson. Almost certain. .. ;-)
Yes I am a big softie, studied 4 years and worked at kindergartens and after school cares for 3 years before it all took off. I got qualities in that field for sure and kids need men in the childcare business for sure!
I actually skipped military service...

Hello to the Nerve Wrecking Acrobatic Backwards Band. I missed your signing in Dublin and I hear you did a TV show too. I did'nt see that either. I checked the TV listings, but there was no mention of it. I was wondering what was the crowd like in Dublin and what was the TV show like what audience was it targeted towards etc.

Well, this may not qualify as a question, but more as a suggestion wrapped in a question. Anyhow, here it comes!
I was quite sad to see that you left out one of my favorite songs Slow. It's a really nice mood-setting song. Almost as good as 03.45 No Sleep, which really says a lot :)
I asked Magnus about it at the record signing in Göteborg and he said that it didn't fit in too well in SEG, and it was more a LGBD-song. I can agree with that, but why not release it as a B-side on the next single? (Godspell Godspell HINT HINT) :) It would be ever so perfect! Those two songs would really balance eachother out leaving you breathless on some floor.
I guess that was it. Thanks a lot Cardies, and keep making sweet music in our ears!

I don´t think we´re allowed to release Slow as B side yet. There are legal things about these bonus tracks, they have to be exclusive for some time and so on.
Still we will probably be able to release it on the 3.rd single, like we did with If there´s a chance on the Live and learn single!
I listened to Slow this morning, it´s a great song!

Hey!
The hardest video/videos were probably MFG which we shot near Barstow in the Californian desert. it was VERY hot. I wasn´t well at all when we shot Erase/Rewind video so I have no good memories of that one at all.
Ohh to mention alll bands we like... that would be too hard and we all listen to different bands all the time. But some of my fave bands are on display on the links , go chekc them out. I got the best taste in the band anyway! :-)
We would love to come to Mexico again and check the green Beetle taxis again.
it´s 8 years since, sorry for that.
