Well, I don´t know when the album comes out in Mexico, or in the USA for that matter. I think the best way is to get from Europe by mail. UK will release it quite soon, so unless you know some French you can order it from www.amazon.fr. If not, go to www.amazon.co.uk and get it. We all recommend the double cd version with lots of extra songs (24 songs I think).
Ahora, no tocamos concertos y cuando vamos a hacer? Pues, no se. Lo siento.

ok, I foun some inconsistencies...
rise n shine credits oeter and magnus as 'music' in the best of, yet just peter in 'emmerdale'.. and i was right! is this because the lyrics came first so you forgot that peter wrote the music, or thought the song wuldnt exist without the lyrics?
also like i said before, the beest of says nina wrote the higher lyrics, yet on gram turismo it;s a co-write between nina and peter...

i can do a tracklisting, but am not much of an artist... i have good ideas, i just need someone to execute them.... like andy warhol or yoko ono
oh, and i bet slowdown town was the one song you unanimously decided to keep off the album.. not that it;s bad, just not as good as the last two albums. is that what you were thinking?
magnus, i saw BURT BACHARACH in concert in Melbourne on wednseday... full orchestra... singaslong at the end to raindrops... lots of medleys... a great rendintion of god give me strenth.. you guys would have been inspired! the chords really arent as complicated as they sound... just major, majo7, min7, sus4, dim, - it;s the placement of the chords.... burt is boss (along with the cardigans!)

I think I should be credited on music for Rise and Shine. I have absolutely no idea what went on on Higher, I was well grumpy back then...
Yeah I´ve never liked Slowdowntown the least, below standard song in my eyes. But Nina likes is a lot.
We´ve never been Bacharach fans to be honest. Sure some great tunes, but not my cup of tea, not even during the LIFE era of our band. I think the songs lack of... hmm grit. Perhaps that´s why I lost interest in all them 7´s and 9´s?

I like fonts and I always search for artwork-fonts of bands I like.
Some time ago I found this font, which looks like the "First Band On The Moon"
font. I found it on dafont.com and the name of it is: Sveningsson
Maybe Mr Gomez (who created the font) is a cardigan fan ?

I have no idea when or even if it will be out in the States, so my suggestion is for you to order it from amazon.co.uk or even better from a amazon.de or .fr. Don´t know if you know German or French, but it´s quite easy to order from there without knowing ther language, all amazon sites are designed exactly the same.
Not sure how to get the Erase remix from the US, perhaps someone can send you a MP3? Ask at the Forum!

| I agree the band Long Gone is the best Cardigans album, but I think 'Your new cuckoo' is the best single (at least the best after the huge hits, much better than... 'Losers' and 'Wars'... Why isn't it included in the Best Of? What a disappointment! |

ok,nyc.... i can think of.... ryan adams... and nina likes country... am i right, or way off? self obsessed he sure is, self detrctive - hope he's still ok.. though his music was more exciting when he was messed up, but his 'easy tiger' was stilk a very fine album.
straying here... shouldnt peter be co-credited with lyrics in higher? or am i going blind? if right, do i get a prize?
oh, n i finally got to hear slowdown town.... n i agree with bengt, 'give me youy eyes' is excellent! single! but then it also sounds not in sync with album, and sounds very,very raw (which is great, too!)
peter played carnival puck in 97 in melbourne, for about 7 songs i thought you werent going to play the band version! you did play 'over the water' and 'heartbreaket' which nina said you didnt do much on that tour (97, australia, etc)

Not sure if ole Ryan Adams is one of the bunch Nina was thinking of, but he sure fits the profile! ;-) Kris Kristofferson maybe? I have no clue to be honest...
I don´t know if Peter wrote anything on Higher, it´s only ehhh 9,5 years ago.
We all liked Give me your eyes a lot, but for us the chorus never got there. We did have high nostalgic hopes about it though.
I remember Australia for my very embarresing slip on stage where I fell on top of my pretty giant bass amp and managed to tip it. That was in Sydney though and I was not drunk.... Thought I´d made a pretty good connection with a lovely lady there before the show but I never got to see her afterwards. She even called in sick to avoid me the following day....

Hmm yeah, it took some turns before we got some sketches from the artist who drew these drawings. His name escapes me at the moment, sorry. But it was supposed to be a whole different concept made by other AD´s. But we´re all happy with it and it´s by fafr the most indie cover we´ve done since 94... ;-)
Funny since it´s been an on going thing from the label! ;-)
Isn´t the album out yet? why wait, try cdon.com and order it from Sweden!

As far as I know, I am home. Bengt and Lasse are probably picking up their kids from kindergarten now, us three live in Malmö. Peter might be on his way to Nashville for a guitar convention and Nina is probably waking up in NYC at the moment. But I am not sure, just guessing... ;-)

Hej!
On the SEG DVD Nina said that the music is always created before she writes the lyrics (except for the line 'I need some fine wine and you, you need to be nicer'). I was wondering if this happened on the earlier albums too when you were the lyricist? Did the music still develop first?

since the first time i heard gordon's gardenparty at my cousins wedding in 1995 i have been so in love with your band. you definately have a song for all seasons and moods. i've gone through 3 life cd's... i wore them out, yes i played them that much. with every album release i waited for the next. i have never seen you live, i just can't seem to catch up to you all, someday. i have waited this long and i will continue to wait until you are back on the beat. it may not be this lifetime but i'll catch you someday. cheers! you are my favorite band. now to the question...have any of you thought of doing a "storyteller" type of medium? an Mtv sort of thing, i know it's kinda mainstream but i've always wondered what life events have really inspired the songs that i listen to daily. i plug the songs into my own life like a soundtrack and l would just like to know the truths behind the lyrics. i hope to keep growing up with you. peace.

I am an American. My family want to go to Europe for a vacation in a few years. I sugested Sweden. I was wondering what there was to do in Sweeden. Is there anything fun to do, or should we pick an other country to visit? What would you reccomend? ( We've already visited Engalnd twice and France once and we loved it). Thank you for your time.

Sweden is dead nice, I must say. Sure there are things to do here, question is what you have in mind. if you like hiking and fishing and stuff, go up north. If you like big cities, go to Stockholm and then explore the archipelago outside the city, quite something.
We in the band live in the southernmost region ( except Peter), where it´s mostly open fields, flat as a pancake and real soft nice feeling. Why not fly to Copenhagen Denmark, chek out that grand city and then take the bridge over to our hometown Malmö and work your way up?
