Hallo Mags! how are you?
i have a musical question to ask you:
i love music but there is one thing i don't understand:
when i read, "music by svensson",i don't understand what it means!
What is it,exactly that peter does?Is it the "base" (the foundation)of the music, with the guitar, and later on, you and the others add your instruments?How does the process of writing songs works, with the cardigans?
I'm sorry to ask you such a stupid question....but what can i do,right?

Peter writes the songs by himself. Then we work on them in the studio, try out different arrangements and production ideas. But the music is always his. Then Nina add lyrics to the songs.

yeah I missed playing Overload on this tour. other than that, I think we played all my faves. well, I missed playing Junk of the hearts on the GT tour since I was out that tour.

Hello, Magnus. Your quick answers to each of forum`s members surprise me. And thus I`m asking myself: is it possible to write answers from day to night?! I hardly imagine it. Probably, it isn`t true to doubt. But…maybe your sustem administer (webmaster) writes all these letters…I`m sorry, simply I read an article about Jacky Kennedy. A lot of housewifes from all America wrote her foolish letters and asked for wise advice, etc. And private secretary worked instead of her. It`s interesting analogy, isn`t it? Excuse me for my doubt, please. And in conclusion I want to write some of my questions.In the song “Godspell” I found a word which I didn`t understand. I looked for this word in all my English-Russian dictionaries…but…nothing! Maybe, I badly know this language…This word is the noun “geeks” (plural?). Also I didn`t understand a phrase “they said eh wants it to yah”. And finally, in the song “Give me your eyes” I heard strange (for me, of course) word “beholder”. I know verbs “to be” and “to hold”. But it is noun, isn`t it? Don`t think that I`m really stupid:) Could you explain me what does it all means, please? You`re carrier of English more than me.

| I know you don't plan on releasing a live dvd, but what about a dvd with all of your music videos? Good quality ones are hard to find, and i'd like to have some nice ones for keeping. |

Yeah, that´s also a Universal decision. When they decide to release a singles collection on cd, there will be a dvd aswell. Don´t know when it will happen. Maybe next year?

diet and regular coke
lots of bottled water
night time food for the bus
That´s about it. Then normally breakfast/lunch and dinner at the venue.

| Hello. I saw you play in London this summer, you were amazing. Was wondering if you were planning to do a live DVD? I have an old one but its pre 'long gone before daylight' and 'super extra gravity'. If you had recorded that show in London it would have made a great dvd, all the best songs were there. Also, everyone in the audience was very tall. Anyway, cheers. Milton. |

Hey!
This is one of the more frequent questions we get and our standard reply is :
it´s all up to Universal records. it´s a costly operation to produce a live DVD.
Since the tour is over, there won´t be any this time around. We do hope to
release live shows from all our career in the fall or winter. Not video, just audio
but better than nothing. it´s all legal rights and copyright issues you know.

Hello, I`m Valeria from Russia. I want to say your music`ve been reflecting my inner spirit for 6 years. Your style, your texts and tunes are very harmonically. Of cours, you know sol-feggio very well. That`s irrelivant…But…
At summer I spend my vacations in the small Northern village called Pleso. Although I live in Moscow, I like spending time there. There is a good ecology! And now I close my eyes and remember the botomless sky with thousands stars, lakes with a mirror-like surface, camomiles` fields…And every day I listened to music. There were many wonderfull tapes in my player: “The Beatles”, “Bee Gees” (in common, old records)…And, certainly, “The Cardigans”. I love our gloomy, great, cold and sad nature…And there it was so huge to hear your music and Nina`s voice in my ears there. I think you could understand me `cause you`re Sweden! In such moments my soul was full of eternal melancholy. Absolutely perfect can`t be found. But your music helps me to hope! Thank you for your existence, each of the group. Be happy and health.

THANKS! a lot! i'm the Chilean Girl that u met at the hotel the day after the show in Sao Paulo, when yo were cheking-out... do u remember me? well, the thing is that my friends Cardifans here in Chile are so excited about all what i lived in brazil, they can't believe that u even talked to me! i'm in the clouds yet, remembering what was all my travel, the show, ant to meet u guys!!!!
2. How can u be(and the band) so nice with the people that go to see u, cause really i didn't expect it! u were nice, so kind! i was so nervous, u sign my t-shirt! so?... after so many years, how can u enjoy that some crazy people ask u for photos, signatures, and all that stuffs...
3. What did u think when i told u that i was in brazil just to see Cardigans show? (answer this question only if u remember me ^^)... in ur heart did u think, GOD! what are we doing in Europe! we must come to SouthAmerica!! people love us here! haha ( just a joke)
Well... thanks Big Mags (i think that u are twice me, i'm too short!), i love u really, i love Nina, i love Bengt, i Love Lars, i love Peter! i love Bruno! and i loved all brazilian people that were so nice with me in that country!

yeah we are quite nice people. And like I told you, you were the only one in the hotel lobby. We normally don´t like people chasing us around where we live, but in this case it was real easy. No worries! We´re glad you were happy to get some photos and autographs.
We were surprised and happy to meet fans like you who´ve travelled a long way to see us. it´s nice!

Jag är en brasse som bor i en stad nära São Paulo men jag missade Camparis Festivalen i Via Funchal... Jag jobbar o pluggar mycket, jag har inte tid att titta på nyheterna! Så jag körde min bil själv 8 timmar till BH på lördag bara att se er direkt! Och det var mycket bra! Kanske såg ni mig med en SWE t-shirt och en stor svenska flagga på mina skuldror! Innan splear ni, jar lära kännade andra Cardigans fans och jag försökte att träna dem att skrik på svenska: "En gång till! En gång till" efter For What It´s Worth sången! Men det fungerade inte... De var blyga och bara jag skrek det! Min röst är inte högt att skrik själv... Också försökte jag att säga två gånger "Nina, vi älskar dig!" men jag fick inte uppmärksamma... Det är okej... :)
Jag hoppas att ni kan komma hit tillbaka!

PERSONAL FEST IN ARGENTINA!!!!!
in november, like every year there is a festival in Argentina called "personal fest" sponsored by a cellphone company. there are many bands that have played like Duran Duran, Blondie, Macy Gray and this year the Black Eyed Peas are gonna be in Argentina for this festival.... so...................................
due to I wanna be in a Cardigans' concert................
does exist any chance for the cardigans to arrange with someone in my place to play in the personal fest?!?!??!!?

Hi! First I'd like to wish my happy birhtday to nina(very late)! I was at the concert in Brazil - Belo Horizonte - and the show was just great! Even better than Gang of Four! Now, i'd like to ask why din't you play "Been it"? I've even saw a paper with: Please Play Been it. How 'bout carnival? You were In the contry of samba and carnaval and didn't play it! Plus, I missed a lot of songs: Paralyzed, starter, Do you believe, Your neww cuckoo, Iron Man, Sabbath bloody sabbath, drip drop teardop, overload...you would stay ther for hours to play all of them, haha! And I didn't understand why didn't you guys come back, like Go4, maybe because the crowd wasn't so enthusiastic... I'd also like to know the setlist from the shows, was it the same? Did You guys like the shows, and which one was the best? Which hotel did you stay in BH - Ouro Minas(Next to a mall) or Othon Palace(downtown)? Did You go anywhere after the show? Sorry for too many questions...you don't have to answer all... Wow, you guys were very well dressed at the concert! Hope you'll come back in Brazil, and in Belo Horizonte too! Kisses!

We havent played Carnival, Sabbath bloody sabbath, Iron man, Starter, Do you believe for 7 years. Been it we played on 3 festivals 3 years ago. Paralyzed was cut from the set due to time issues and that´w ahy we had to cut the encore Communication. It was time for Gang of four and we had to get off stage. Drip drop we skipped for the summer tour and Overload , we never played live at all, shame cause I realy like it.
And we´ll NEVER play you´re new cuckoo again, trust me! ;-)
We stayed at the Othon hotel, went straight to bed and slept for 3 hours, then to the airport to go to Sao Paulo. The setlist was the same for all shows, except Paralyzed and Communication.

Well we´d love to come back to Brasil in the future. Now we got a contact in Andre and the staff so I guess it will be easier to plan a tour next time!
